I hope you enjoyed your summer! In July I had the good fortune to be juried into the Calgary Stampede: to the Western Showcase Art Gallery and to the Miniature Masterpieces section. I had the privilege of demonstrating "Alcohol Ink" processes during "Artist InSite" events. It was fun engaging with visitors from near and far who are curious about artist's work. I was pleased a number of my paintings found new homes.
This fall I hope your smile increases as you wander around your city/ town/countryside. The green colours in our deciduous trees and shrubs are slowly changing to varied shades of yellow, orange, purple, pink, brown, reds... it is so lovely to breath in these wonderful autumn colours! These trees quickly become bare. Their upcoming offerings of exaggerated silhouettes can also be visual treats. My favorite is when the hoarfrost clings to them and sparkle.
This fall I am taking a break from teaching outside of my home since I recently had retina attachment surgery and am still recovering. However, I am back working part-time in the studio getting ready for the following 2018 events:
